Inside Sales Representative

My client has an opening for a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative with perseverance and a drive for results.
You will have a chance to work in the growing startup company by developing new customers and contracts with auto dealers for a unique software plug-in, which allows dealers to offer vehicles for sale to their customers without floor-planning costs.
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will devote much of your day to building long-term relationships with business partners to earn introductions to clients in person and by phone. You will also be expected to gain access to new business through traditional marketing efforts including working a referral base, cold calling and canvassing, to promote our product and maximize the product’s selling potential and meet program and company objectives.

When presenting to prospective clients and asking for the business, the Inside Sales Representative is expected to handle objections successfully and have the ability to overcome all potential barriers through approachability and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ability to network with vendors, business owners, others in the industry to effectively create a referral pool.
  • Work with Management  to generate ideas to improve sales processes, increase referral stream, and build our value with potential customers.
  • A self-starter, able to work independently while working as part of a team.
  • Be proficient in all products and third party integrations.
  • Embody company culture and maintain high sales employee engagement.
  • Accurately track and report to Management on sales and opportunities in the pipeline.
  • Must be trustworthy and possess a high level of integrity.
Qualifications and Skills
  • An aptitude for defining and managing a sales process including lead generation, proposal development, oral and digital presentations and contract negotiation for evolving services offerings.
  • Ingenuity, unconventional and creative thinking, being able to find new ways to approach, interest and retain customers.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in automotive space, specifically with dealer wholesale vehicle acquisition and retail selling process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both internally and externally; outgoing, highly professional and mature demeanor, attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • To be successful, you must possess the skills necessary to carry out creative marketing plans and achieve aggressive sales goals.
  • You must be able to learn quickly and on-the-job with the ability to utilize resources for additional training/education.
  • Experience in outside sales preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal savvy.
  • Comfort and ability reporting and presenting to higher management.
  • Basic computer skills
