Account Manager

Location: Plano, TX
Position Purpose:

The Account Manager (AM) serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for overall client satisfaction. The AM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts, as well as represent clients’ needs and goals within the organization. In addition, the AM will develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The AM facilitates client meetings, communicates internal and external opportunities and moves projects forward in a timely manner. An AM has a set goal or quota and is responsible for exceeding it.  
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages an assignment base of one or more clients
  • Key client contact responsible for management of client relationship and projects
  • Ensure clients’ goals are achieved on time and on budget
  • Works closely with internal teams to inspire collaboration and commitment to the common goal
  • Ensures contract obligations are being met
  • Focuses on continually driving down costs, increasing margins and identifying new opportunities
  • Provides clear and timely solution oriented communication to external accounts and internal team
  • Develops and sustains excellent relationship with all client contacts
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of client’s brand business, language and culture
  • Establishes and communicates budget and schedules for each project
  • Develops new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Highly organized planner, excellent presenter, negotiator and team player
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced office
 Education, Experience and Skills:
  • BS or BA degree in direct marketing, business or related field OR 5 years account service-related experience
  • Possesses high level of print production knowledge with detailed understanding of different techniques Proven Account Management skills to create, maintain and enhance client relationships
  • Experience working with suppliers to negotiate costs and schedules
  • Business aptitude in understanding margin and profit calculations
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with a variety of basic computer programs and project management tools (Microsoft Office suites, on-line CRM tools)
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior level professionals
  • Displays excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Other: Some travel may be required depending on account assignment
