Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager must be up to date on the latest social media trends and will be responsible developing and administering our social media accounts and content.  This candidate will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals while growing each of the social media channels in terms of followers, engagement, and sales.

  • Build and execute social media growth strategy through competitive research, bench marking, messaging, advertising and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, videos, etc.) that builds meaningful connections and encourages followers to engage or act
  • Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Create editorial and ad calendars by writing, developing, and strategizing online content
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer care, sales, etc.) to manage scripting and brand
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Manage communication and responses with followers in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign and publish KPIs
  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing, communications, social media or related
  • 2+ years’ work experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Sprout, etc.)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
