District Sales Manager

Mid-Atlantic Region, Open
District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for targeting, acquisition, and support of new reseller partners (VARs), Check Automation Providers and Office Equipment Dealers (OED’s).    The DSM is also responsible for end user sales with, or on behalf of, any of Company’s partners.  DSM works as a team with inside sales team to serve the assigned District.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet assigned quota objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage existing account relationships.
  • Prospect for new accounts within assigned territory.
  • Work in conjunction with inside sales team and vendor representatives.
  • Ability to multi-task action items required of Resellers, Vendors and Company.
  • Complete monthly reporting of tracking activity, prospecting, forecasting and overall results.
  • Ability to learn new products with regard to hardware, software and service.
  • Manage travel independently effectively to maximize potential.
  • Travel with Company management and manufacturer representatives.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Represent Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • DSM position has access to sensitive information from both Company and our partners’ perspective.
  • Will be required to sign a Non-Competition and Non-Solicitation Agreement
  • DSM must work the respective territory as if it is his/her own business.  Taking into consideration account potential, account needs and training along with the expense of running a given territory.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education preferred

Experience Requirements (including knowledge, skills and abilities)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Formal sales training a plus
  • Industry experience with OEDs, Check 21, Document Management or Software Sales is strongly desired. 
  • Minimum 4 years outside sales experience with a focus on new account acquisition is desired

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Will be required to work out of your home office using office equipment including computer and telephone.
  • Must have the ability to drive with valid driver’s license and carry auto insurance.
  • Willing to travel of up to 50% within assigned territory as needed.   
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, see with or without reasonable accommodation.
