Senior Account Manager

Plano, TX
We’re looking for an autonomous self-starter with outstanding relationship and project management skills – a strategic thinker who’s also a natural collaborator. As the Sr Account Manager (SAM) you will maintain and grow an existing client relationship, while achieving an assigned revenue and profitability goal. You will be responsible for the development and on-going execution of the account plan while anticipating and addressing future needs through experience, continual innovation and thought leadership. You’ll manage and execute the day-to-day activities with the support of two Accounts Managers. The goal is to ensure all client account activities and eCommerce engagements are successful, per the account plan, and positively impact overall client satisfaction. Additionally, you will oversee the client’s implementation serving as the primary liaison between the client and company's members to ensure the client receives a unified experience.
 
Job duties and accountabilities:
  • Manage client implementation
    • Act a primary contact between client and internal resources/departments
    • Be the main driver of the project, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met
    • Effectively work with multiple departments throughout project development and implementation
    • Mitigate conflict, identify and actively reduce risks that could cause implementations delays
    • Qualify and document where necessary the client's unique requirements and establish a supply-chain structure and process that reduces cost while improving responsiveness and efficiency
  • Responsible for managing and executing on-going promotional and print programs
  • Proactively manages client’s satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction
  • Investigates, tracks and resolves client concerns; identifies trends and implements solutions
  • Resolve and mediate client production issues garnering internal and external resources as required
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of your client’s business and appropriately positions value propositions with viable solutions to meet the client’s needs
  • Client delivery assurance: collaborate with all delivery stakeholders involved to ensure fulfilment of all commitments to the client
  • Leads all aspects of the client process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management
  • Responsible for day-to-day functions of our business, including: revenue processes, accounting, and reporting
  • Prepare and deliver various presentations and financial analysis as required
  • Consistently strengthens and adds value to the client relationships
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to Account Managers
  • Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of the account team are carefully defined and well understood.  Set high expectations, delegate when applicable and hold employees accountable for their results, all be it success or failure
  • Keeps strong communication lines open to the SVP, Client Engagement
  • All other duties as assigned.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience leading teams and providing client solutions
  • Experience with marketing campaign execution
  • Proven Account Management skills
  • Promotional products experience is preferred
  • Print industry experience is preferred
  • Six Sigma or demonstrated understanding of process improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading concurrent teams and successfully delivering integrated client solutions
  • Displays an entrepreneurial business spirit and thrives in a rapid growth-oriented, nimble environment where change is the norm
  • Experience presenting information and responding to business inquiries from executive leadership groups
  • Demonstrated understanding of technologies that support print management engagements, such as B2B e-commerce and e-procurement platforms
  • PC proficiency is essential including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Strong problem-solving skills enabled by a blend of intuition, analytics, experience and sound judgment
  • Displays excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Possesses excellent verbal, written and technical communication skills; solid presentation skills
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Prioritizes with attention to detail; extremely detailed oriented
  • High level of initiative and works well in a team environment
