Strategic Sourcing Analyst

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for managing all data and related reporting to support the Strategic Sourcing and Management Teams across the business. The Analyst will assist in developing baseline data sets and provide analytic support of various accounts and new business opportunities. This individual works on high value deals within key print related service segments and RFP’s including printing, mailing, fulfillment and promotional products.

The ideal candidate must have analytics experience in a print related field and the ability to problem solve and use data to help dictate future actions. Duties will include continuous monitoring and tracking of realized savings and internal/external compliance as well as direct involvement with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Job Tasks
  • Uses overall print industry experience to interpret data and use that to assist in the development of new and existing print sourcing strategies.
  • Engage with high value deals within key print related service segments, assisting in creating initial data set, creating market facing requests for pricing (RFP’s) and analyzing results.
  • Creation of accurate baseline data, updates to existing baseline data and ongoing monitoring of results.
  • Properly report and present findings in a way that is supported by the data and is logical to management.
  • Works in cooperation with Management and Supplier Relations team to provide support to and ideation to various data requests including assisting in database activities and process improvement.
  • Analyze and track internal and external KPIs, including savings/inflation tracking process
Job Requirements
  • B.S. Degree preferred or must have proven working experience in a data analytics role supporting print related projects within a marketing organization.
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Significant experience in MS Office products with an emphasis on MS Excel to create and analyze various data related to client specifications and pricing.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical tools is preferred along with experience with reporting packages.
  • Strong analytical background related to analysis of transactional data.
  • Working within a tight team that has a track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media.
